Grade Descriptions
     Steel A-36 (Standard Grade)

  • Low carbon, hot rolled "mild steel" is suitable for general
usage in production & maintenance work, due to its
    excellent welding & forming characteristics.
        Aluminum Standard 6061 T-6
  • The most versatile of the extruded, heat treatable aluminum alloys.

  • It has most of the good qualities of aluminum, and it offers a wide range
of mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.

  • It can be fabricated by many of the commonly used techniques.

        Aluminum 5052

  • This is the highest strength alloy of the more common
    non-heat treatable grades.

  • Fatigue strength is higher than most aluminum alloys.

  • Has particularly good resistance to marine atmosphere
    and salt water corrosion.

  • Has excellent workability and can be drawn or
    formed into intricate shapes.

    Aluminum 6063

  • Referred to as architectural alloy.

  • Developed as an extrusion alloy with high tensile properties.

  • Excellent finishing characteristics & has a high degree of resistance to corrosion.

  • Most commonly found in various interior & exterior architectual applications,
such as windows, doors, store fronts & assorted trim items.

  • Best suited for anodizing applications.

    Aluminum 3003

  • Most widely used of all aluminum alloys.

  • Commercially pure with the addition of manganese, which increases strength 20%.

  • Excellent corrosion resistance & workability

  • May be deep drawn or spun, welded or brazed.

  • This alloy is non-heat treatable.

    Stainless Steel Standard T-304

  • Type 304 is a low carbon, chromium-nickle alloy.

  • Highly corrosion resistant & non-magnetic.

  • It requires heavier equipment to machine, but is easier to weld than type 303.

  • Minimal carbide precipitation during welding.

    Steel Cold Roll Standard 1018

  • Low carbon steel has good case hardening properties.

  • Excellent steel for bending and cold forming & is often used where cold forming
    stresses are not too severe.

  • Good brazing & welding qualities.

  • It has a smooth, clean, cold drawn (rolled) surface.

    Steel Galvanized

  • Coated with Zinc by the hot-dipped process.

  • Rust resistant and weathers well.
